1) Why do you want to join NATO? Because It looked like a nice alliance

2) If you were in an alliance previous to applying to NATO, why did you leave?

3) Are you now or have you ever been on any alliance Perma ZI or ZI list (these are punishments doled out by alliances that you have seriously pissed off; basically, if an alliance really wants to punish you, they may sentence you to be attacked until your nation's infrastructure level is zero, or they may even attempt to keep it at zero infrastructure indefinitely)? If so give details please.

Welcome to the NATO Cadet Aspirant Training!

In this CAT program, you will learn the basic essentials for succeeding in CyberNations. As a NATO cadet, you are entitled to our protection. However, you are not considered a full member of the alliance until you complete all seven lessons of this training. You will receive an $24 million aid package for becoming a member. All of this money will be available to you after your successful completion of this training program.

If you now feel you have not made the right choice in joining our alliance, please post that you are leaving in this thread. Otherwise, we look forward to having you among us!

You may notice your name is in the color white. For you to begin this course you must be masked as a cadet (name in pink). A member of the government will mask you as soon as possible once you have followed the instructions below:

[*]Select "Edit My Nation" from your taskbar on the left, next scroll down to "Alliance Affiliation", from the drop-down menu select "Specify Other", then type "NATO" into the text box, and finally click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page. You are now a NATO cadet and officially affiliated with NATO.

[*]You will see on your taskbar to the left, "My Government Position", click this and do the following:

If you don't have uranium as a resource and don't currently have a trade in which you receive uranium select the following options: B,A,B,B,B,A,B,A.D,D. If you do have uranium as a resource select the following options: B,B,B,B,B,A,B,A,D,D. This will benefit your nation's economy.

[*]Optional: Select "Edit My Nation" from your taskbar on the left, next scroll down to "National Flag", from the drop-down menu select "NATO", and finally select "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page. You are now displaying the official flag of NATO in-game. Be proud of what that flag represents; it took a long time to get the ability to do what you just did (very few alliances have ever been able to have their flags displayed in-game, and being able to do so is an earned privilege).

Now that you have updated your nation, you will be receiving more income and will be associated with NATO. You are now a protected citizen of NATO. Because of this you now only need to have 20% of your citizen count in soldiers -- you do not want more as they just rack up the bills without necessity. Additionally, do not buy more than 100 tech or 10 land -- you won't be needing more than that right now.

IMPORTANT: Once a lesson has been posted, you will have 10 days to complete it. After that time, you will be sent a message with a link to this thread asking you to complete the lesson. If you still have not completed the lesson in 10 days thereafter, you will be failed out of the CAT. However, there will be exceptions granted due to special circumstances.

IMPORTANT: Do not change your nations resources if you want to be placed in a full NATO trade circle. If you have changed resources please report on this thread when your next available resource change occurs. Your first improvements should always be a Harbor and Foreign Ministry, you will need them to set up your trades.

IMPORTANT: While you are a cadet, you may not conduct any raids or engage in any wars (unless specifically and explicitly ordered to do so). Also, for 30 days after your graduation, you must request permission from the Secretary of Defense to conduct raids.

The links for each of the seven CAT lessons are below. Please let us know if you have any questions or issues. And, please post in this thread when you have completed your lessons so we can officially graduate you and make you a full NATO member!
